The Tough Box Generator makes a complete rugged case for FDM printing: base, lid, latches, hinge pins and a TPU gasket. Every part comes out already turned the right way for the printer, and every overhang is 45° or less, so nothing needs supports.
Latches. The snap clip is one printed part that clicks over a bar. The draw latch (beta) works like a Pelican case: a lever and two link plates pull the lid down onto the gasket and lock past a dead point, so no plastic has to bend.
Gridfinity. Switch the size to grid units to get a standard 42 mm baseplate inside the box, a baseplate on the lid and Gridfinity feet underneath. With lid plate and feet together, boxes stack and lock onto each other.
Hardware. Pins and the catch rod are 3 mm. Steel rod is best; printed pins are included. Magnets for Gridfinity are 6 × 2 mm.
